Apple to add Touch ID fingerprint sensors to next-gen iPad Air and iPad mini

Just last year the iPhone 5S debuted with Apple's new Touch ID fingerprint sensor technology, and it only seems logical that the security feature would eventually make its way on to Apple's iPads.

Current rumors making thier way around the net state that this will be the case, and that we could see the second generation iPad Air, and the third generation iPad mini, debut with the new Touch ID sensors embedded within the next-gen tablets home button.

The Touch ID sensors will allow you to use your unique fingerprint ID to protect and unlock your iPhone or iPad instead of constantly having to input your passcode. You will also be able to use Touch ID to purchase content from Apple's App Store, iTunes, and iBooks Stores.
